How it works
Four steps from "here is what I sell" to "here is who to reply to today".
- 1
You describe the product, not the keywords
A monitor starts with two paragraphs: what you sell, and who buys it. Write them the way you would explain the product to someone at a meetup — specific, plain, no positioning language.
That description is not decoration. It is what every candidate conversation is compared against, so "invoicing software for freelancers who hate chasing payments" produces a very different feed from "financial operations platform".
- 2
Terms and subreddits get suggested, then you edit them
From your description we propose keywords, exact phrases and subreddits worth watching. You keep what fits, delete what does not, and add the phrases you know your buyers use.
Exclusions matter more than people expect. If you sell to solo freelancers, excluding "payroll" removes a whole category of near-miss threads that would otherwise look plausible.
- 3
Ingestion runs on a schedule, deduplicated
We read Reddit through official, rate-limited access on an interval set by your plan — daily on Free, hourly on Pro, every fifteen minutes on Growth. Failures back off and retry rather than dropping a run.
A thread is stored once no matter how many of your monitors match it, so you never see the same conversation twice or pay for it twice.
- 4
You get a ranked feed and a draft to work from
Leads arrive scored and sorted, with the reasoning attached. Open one and you get the original thread, the score breakdown, and a suggested reply built from what the person actually wrote.
Save the ones you are working, dismiss the rest. Dismissals are how you tell a monitor it is drifting, and the feed gets quieter as a result.
What the score actually means
Five factors, each scored 0–100 and weighted into a single number. These are the same weights the product uses — the breakdown on every lead adds up to the score you see.
Freshness is computed from the timestamp and never sent to a model. The other four are judged against your product description and your target customer, which is why a thread full of buying signals for the wrong kind of buyer still scores low.
Why most items never reach a model
Running every Reddit post through an AI model would be slow and expensive, and you would pay for it. So scoring happens in two stages: cheap deterministic rules run first — keyword and phrase matching, your exclusions, subreddit weighting, recency, and whether the post is even shaped like a question — and only what survives is read by a model.
In practice around four in five ingested items are resolved before any model is involved. Those items are still stored, so if you widen a monitor later you are not starting from nothing.
The part we will not automate
The draft is the end of what we do. There is no button that posts it, no scheduler, and no integration that writes to Reddit — because the version of this product that posts for you is the version that gets your account banned and your product named in a thread about spam. You read it, you edit it, you post it as yourself.
